Project of the Month – November 2010
Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010
Our client had a front area that was nice but overgrown & underutilized. They had been wanting a water feature for a long time & finally were ready to do something. We installed a small waterfall and stream to weave between 2 larger boulders the client already had on site. This spilled into an 8′x11′ pond, complete with a skimmer filtration system, 3000 GPH pump, ‘fish caves’, 3 depths of water, and underwater LED lights on a simple transformer. Upon completion, no design was needed as it become very obvious what ‘the icing on the cake’ should look like with plant materials. We also created a small sitting area out of flagstone adjacent to the pond for someone to be able to sit, ‘ponder’, and relax. The end result? An area that’s no longer ‘overwhelming’, and can now be enjoyed up close or from looking out the windows surrounding it, and that will be enjoyed as the area matures for years to come!
